Setting up your Fire TV or Fire Stick

Step 1:

1.       Start your Fire TV.

2.       Go to “Settings” (1) and select the “System” tab (2).

3.       Select “Network” (3).

4.       Choose your WIFI network (4) and “Forget” it. To do that you should press the button with three lines on it afterwards and press the select button.

5.       Now choose again your WIFI network. You will be asked to introduce your password. Enter your WI-FI password (5) and click on “Advanced” (6).

6.       You have to get an IP from the same IP range as a router. To do that just use your router’s IP and change the last group of digits. For example, if your router’s IP is 192.168.0.1 you should set your Fire TV IP address (7) to something like 192.168.0.100. You can notice that first three groups of digits remained the same and only the last one changed. If not sure, select one below based on your provider.

  2. JAMII - 192.168.1.9

7.       In the “Default gateway field” (8) enter the IP of your router and click “Next” (9). If not sure, select one below based on your provider.
